We believe that the Bible is God’s only revealed message to mankind, given to bring responsive individuals to the obedience of faith. The Bible is our only authority and we teach that it should be read prayerfully and with care at every opportunity. Rom 16:26; Acts 17:11; 2Tim 3:16-17; 2Pet 1:20-21

Listen on:

It is our sincere desire that all people of the world would seek to know and serve the Creator of Heaven and Earth, as He has revealed Himself through His Scripture, and His son Jesus Christ.
We are a Bible-based community of believers, patterned after the first century ecclesia’s (churches), who wait for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. We hope for the time when Jesus will call all saints to him, set up his kingdom in Jerusalem, and subdue all nations of the Earth. We pray for that time to come soon.

These four figures are not just historical footnotes; they serve as powerful types and "shadows" of the calling of the Gentiles into the Abrahamic Covenant through faith.
1. The Queen of Sheba: Seeking the Greater Solomon The Queen of Sheba represents the seeker who recognizes the divine wisdom bestowed upon the house of David.
The Type: She foreshadows the time when "all nations shall flow" to Jerusalem to be taught of God's ways.
The Lesson: Jesus used her as a rebuke to the Jews of his day, noting that she travelled from the "uttermost parts of the earth" to hear Solomon, yet "a greater than Solomon" (Christ) was ignored in his own land. Her faith was validated by her action and investigation into the Truth.
2. The Widow at Zarephath: Sustenance Through Obedience Located in Phoenicia (Gentile territory), this widow’s interaction with Elijah is seen as a profound example of "faith in the face of death." The Type: Her willingness to provide the "little cake" first, despite having only a handful of meal and a little oil, mirrors the required priority of the Kingdom of God over personal survival.
The Lesson: This highlights that Elijah was sent to her specifically, passing over many widows in Israel. This underscores the principle that the "election of grace" is based on a heart response to God’s word, not biological heritage.
3. The Syrophoenician Woman: Persistent Humility This New Testament figure is often cited as an example of a "right spirit." The Type: She acknowledged the priority of Israel ("the children's bread") while still claiming the "crumbs" of grace. Her interaction with Jesus demonstrates that the blessing of the Gospel, while originally for the Jews, was always intended to overflow to those Gentiles who exhibited deep humility and persistence.
The Lesson: Her faith was defined by her acknowledgment of her position before God, proving that a Gentile could have a "faith like Abraham."
4. Hiram of Tyre: Building the Dwelling Place Hiram, King of Tyre, provided the cedar and skilled craftsmen for Solomon’s Temple. The Type: Hiram is viewed as a "Gentile co-worker" in the construction of God's house. The Temple is a shadow of the "spiritual house" (the Ecclesia).
The Lesson: Hiram’s partnership with Solomon represents the future age when the "wealth of the nations" will be brought into the service of the Messiah. It shows that even those outside the initial covenant can become essential contributors to the divine plan.
These four individuals demonstrate that the "Commonwealth of Israel" has always been accessible to those who manifest faith. They represent the "wild olive branches" being grafted into the natural tree, proving that God is no respecter of persons but accepts those from every nation who fear Him and work righteousness.

"Gentiles" who recognized the God of Israel, viewing them as early patterns of the "Grafting In" of the believers. These three figures—Abimelech, Ittai, and Obed-Edom—serve as powerful examples of faith found outside the natural lineage of Abraham.
1. Abimelech: The King of Integrity While the name Abimelech (likely a title) appears several times, the Abimelech of Genesis 20 (Gerar) is noted for his "integrity of heart." The Lesson: Even among the early Philistines, God recognized a moral conscience. Abimelech’s immediate obedience to God’s warning in a dream demonstrates a fear of Yahweh that sometimes surpassed that of the patriarchs themselves.
He represents the "stranger" who acknowledges God’s sovereignty, showing that the principles of righteousness are universal and that God’s hand reaches beyond Israel’s borders to preserve His purpose.
2. Ittai the Gittite: The Devoted Exile Ittai is perhaps the most striking example of Philistine loyalty (2 Samuel 15). A native of Gath, he followed David during the rebellion of Absalom. When David offered him a "way out" because he was a foreigner, Ittai famously replied: "As the Lord lives... surely in whatever place my lord the king shall be, whether in death or life, even there also your servant will be."
The Lesson: Ittai’s devotion mirrors the believer’s commitment to the Greater David (Christ). He chose a life of "exile" with the rejected King rather than comfort in a rebellious kingdom.
He is a type of the Gentile believer who, though "far off," is brought near by his confession of faith and his willingness to share in the sufferings of the King.
3. Obed-Edom: The Keeper of the Ark Obed-Edom (often identified as a Gittite) is most famous for his brief but pivotal role in 2 Samuel 6. When David became fearful after Uzzah’s death, the Ark was moved to Obed-Edom’s house. The Lesson: While others feared the Ark, Obed-Edom’s household was "blessed" for three months.
This demonstrates that God’s presence brings blessing—not judgment—to those who approach His holiness with a right spirit. He symbolizes the "opening of the door" to the Gentiles. In later Scripture, he and his sons are found serving as "gatekeepers" in the Temple, showing that those of "Gentile" origin could find a place of honor and service in the Kingdom.

'Justified By Grace'
Exhortation By Brother Darren Tappouras
YouTube: https://youtu.be/r4uXiPHLA2E
Being justified by grace is the essential process by which a mortal, sinful person is made "right" with God. Because humans are inherently mortal and prone to sin, they cannot earn eternal life through their own effort or "good works."
1. The Meaning of Justification
To be "justified" means to be accounted righteous. This is not a literal change in human nature (which remains prone to sin). God in His mercy, chooses to "wipe away" a person's sinful past and view them as if they were righteous.
2. The Role of Grace
Grace (Charis) is defined as God’s undeserved favor or "free gift." The Problem: Romans 6:23 states that "the wages of sin is death." Since everyone sins, everyone deserves death. The Solution: Grace is God’s initiative to provide a way out of death that we did not earn. It is most perfectly demonstrated through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
3. The Necessity of Faith and Baptism
While grace is a gift, believes must receive it through a specific process outlined in the Bible: Faith: One must believe the "Gospel of the Kingdom" and the things concerning the name of Jesus Christ. This isn't just mental assent, but a deep trust in God’s promises (like the faith of Abraham). Baptism: Teaches that justification is "conferred" at baptism. By being fully immersed in water, a believer identifies with the death and resurrection of Christ. It is at this moment that past sins are forgiven and the believer enters a state of grace (Acts 2:38; Romans 6:3-4).
4. Grace vs. Works Before Justification:
Works are useless for earning salvation. We are justified by grace through faith, not by works of the law (Ephesians 2:8-9). After Justification: Once a person is a "saint" (a baptized believer), works become essential. While works don't earn the gift, they are the evidence of a living faith. Believers at the future Judgment Seat of Christ, will be judged "according to their works" to determine if they have remained faithful to their calling.

'The Cure To Being Worried'
Exhortation By Brother Zac Carroll
YouTube: https://youtu.be/N1vdFVg71BA
Here is a summary of Matthew 6 v 24–34
The Two Masters (v. 24)
This verse demands for undivided loyalty. "Mammon" is not just money, but a personification of materialism and worldly wealth acting as a rival master to God. The teaching emphasizes that a disciple cannot have a "divided mind." You cannot serve the impulses of the flesh (present gain) and the Spirit (future hope) simultaneously. To try to serve both is to inevitably fail in one's service to the Father.
The Cure for Anxiety (v. 25–32)
Jesus commands his followers to stop being anxious (merimnaō) about the basic necessities of this mortal life.
Providence: The examples of the birds and the lilies are used to prove God’s providential care. If God sustains the lesser creation which has no promise of eternal life, He will certainly sustain His children who are "of more value."
Human Limitation: Jesus asks, "Which of you by worrying can add one cubit unto his stature?" This as a reminder of our mortality; no amount of worry can extend our dying life. Therefore, we should trust the One who can grant immortality.
Separation from the World: The "Gentiles" (those without hope in God) frantically seek after material security. A believer's life should look different—marked by a quiet trust that the Father knows their needs.
The Priority: Seek Ye First the Kingdom (v. 33) This is the pivotal verse of the section.
The Kingdom: This is not an abstract feeling or "heaven," but the literal, coming Kingdom of God on earth. "Seeking" it means making that future reality the driving force of one's decisions today.
His Righteousness: This involves trying to develop the character of God now—living by His standards rather than the world's. The Promise: The promise is that if the Kingdom is the primary focus, God will ensure that the daily physical needs are met ("added unto you") during our probation in this life.
Living One Day at a Time (v. 34)
The passage concludes with the practical advice to let "tomorrow worry about itself." Since believers live in a world of "evil" (trouble/adversity), we are advised to lean on God's strength for the present day only, without borrowing trouble from a future we cannot control.

The Grafting of the Gentiles
The Bible presents a consistent narrative: while Israel is God’s chosen vessel for salvation, His ultimate plan is to fill the whole earth with His glory (Numbers 14:21). Gentiles are not saved by their own national religions, but by being "grafted in" to the hope of Israel through faith in the God of Abraham.
When looking at Israel's three great historical enemies—Egypt, Assyria, and Babylon—scripture offers striking examples of faith and prophetic reconciliation.
1. Egypt: "My People"
Egypt often represents the world and bondage, yet the Bible contains a powerful thread of Egyptian recognition of Yahweh.
The Historic Type: A "mixed multitude" of Egyptians and other foreigners left Egypt with Moses, choosing to follow the God who defeated their idols (Exodus 12:38).
The Future Prophecy (Isaiah 19): The Kingdom Age prophecy in Isaiah 19:19-25. It predicts that Yahweh will be known in Egypt and they will offer sacrifice to Him. The text culminates in a stunning reversal of titles, where God calls them: "Blessed be Egypt my people."
2. Assyria: The Work of God's Hands
Assyria was the brutal rod of God's anger against Israel, yet they too are shown capable of repentance.
The Men of Nineveh: The book of Jonah demonstrates that even the most aggressive Gentile power could respond to the warning of Israel’s God. Jesus later confirmed their repentance was genuine (Matthew 12:41).
The Prophetic Trio: In that same Kingdom prophecy of Isaiah 19, Assyria is joined with Egypt and Israel. The text describes a "Highway" connecting the three, where former enemies worship together. God calls Assyria "The work of my hands," indicating their future restoration under the reign of Christ.
3. Babylon: Acknowledging the Most High
While "Babylon the Great" is the scriptural symbol of apostasy, the historical interactions in the book of Daniel show high-ranking Gentiles bowing to God's supremacy.
Nebuchadnezzar’s Confession: After being humbled by madness, King Nebuchadnezzar issues a decree honoring the King of Heaven, acknowledging that God’s dominion is everlasting (Daniel 4:34-37).
The Preservation of Truth: It is believed by many that Daniel's influence in the Babylonian court established a legacy of expectation for the Messiah, which eventually led the Magi (Wise Men from the East) to seek the King of the Jews centuries later.

Hebrews Chapter 3: Greater Than Moses
This chapter establishes the superiority of Christ over Moses and warns the "holy brethren" (the ecclesia) not to repeat the mistakes of natural Israel. Jesus vs. Moses: While Moses was a faithful servant in God's house, Jesus is the Son over his own house. The "House" is the Believers: The "house" is not a physical building, but the community of believers. Crucially, the text says we are his house "if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end." This emphasizes conditional salvation—faithfulness must be maintained; it is not a "once saved, always saved" situation. The Wilderness Warning: The writer quotes Psalm 95 regarding the "Provocation." Just as the Israelites were delivered from Egypt but died in the wilderness because of unbelief and disobedience, baptized believers have left "Egypt" (the world of sin) but have not yet reached the "Promised Land" (the Kingdom). The Deceitfulness of Sin: There is an urgent call to exhort one another daily, lest anyone be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin (the thinking of the flesh).
Hebrews Chapter 4: The Sabbath Rest and Our High Priest
This chapter defines the ultimate goal of the believer and explains how Jesus is uniquely qualified to help us get there. The Rest (Sabbath rest): The "rest" mentioned is not merely the weekly Sabbath or the entry into Canaan under Joshua (verse 8 clarifies that if "Jesus"—referring to Joshua—had given them rest, David would not have spoken of another day later). This "Rest" refers to the Millennial Kingdom of God on Earth. It is the great Sabbath that remains for the people of God after the labor of this mortal life is over. The Power of the Word: The Word of God is described as a "two-edged sword" (Verse 12). It cuts through our natural thinking ("soul and spirit") and exposes the true distinct motives of the heart. It is the tool used to overcome the flesh. Jesus, the Sympathetic High Priest: This is vital, regarding the nature of Christ. Verse 15 states Jesus was "tempted in all points like as we are, yet without sin." This confirms that Jesus possessed human nature and was capable of sinning (otherwise, the temptation would not be real), but he perfectly overcame it. Because he struggled against the same nature we have, he can "sympathize with our weaknesses." He is not a distant, unapproachable deity, but a forerunner who has conquered the flesh.
Key Takeaways:
Analogy of Life: Our current life is the "wilderness journey." We must remain faithful to enter the Kingdom.
Nature of Christ: Jesus serves as our High Priest effectively specifically because he partook of our nature and felt our temptations.
The Kingdom Hope: The "Rest" is a future event on earth that we labor to enter.

Summary of 1 Timothy Chapter 6 📖
Chapter 6 of 1 Timothy provides practical guidance on Christian conduct in the workplace and the dangers of materialism, with a strong warning against false teaching. 1. Conduct of Servants and Masters (1 Tim 6:1-2) The chapter opens with instructions for servants (slaves) regarding their masters. This is emphasizing the need for respect, obedience, and good conduct in all relationships, including work, to ensure that the Gospel and the name of God are not discredited in the eyes of the world. This is particularly important for servants with believing masters, whom they should serve even better out of love.
2. Warning Against False Teaching and Greed (1 Tim 6:3-10) Paul issues a strong condemnation of those who promote teachings that contradict the "sound words of our Lord Jesus Christ," which refer to the pure and unadulterated doctrine of the Gospel. False teachers are characterized by arrogance, useless disputes, and the false idea that "godliness is a means of gain" (i.e., using faith for material profit). The core warning here is: "Godliness with contentment is great gain" (v. 6). True spiritual wealth comes from being satisfied with what we have (food and clothing), as we brought nothing into this world and can take nothing out. The "love of money is a root of all kinds of evil" (v. 10). The desire to be rich leads to temptation, traps, and wandering from the faith, piercing individuals with many sorrows.
3. A Charge to the Man of God (1 Tim 6:11-16) Timothy, as the "man of God," is commanded to flee from the love of money and pursue the essential Christian virtues such as righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, and gentleness. He is urged to "fight the good fight of faith" and hold fast to eternal life until the appearing of the Lord Jesus Christ (the Second Coming). This aligns with the focus on the literal, future Kingdom of God and the personal need for steadfast faith to inherit it.
4. Instruction for the Rich (1 Tim 6:17-19) Wealthy believers are instructed: Not to be arrogant or to put their hope in uncertain riches. To trust instead in God, the Creator. To be rich in good works, generous, and willing to share, effectively "storing up treasure for themselves" for the resurrection and the life to come in God's Kingdom.
5. Final Warning (1 Tim 6:20-21) The chapter concludes with a final charge to guard the deposit (the Gospel message/true doctrine) and avoid the "irreverent babble and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge," which often interpret as referring to philosophies and doctrines contrary to the strict scriptural teachings.

Ethiopia (often referred to as Cush in the Old Testament)
Key Individuals and Righteousness:
Zipporah, Moses' Wife: Moses marrying a Cushite/Ethiopian woman (Numbers 12:1) shows the acceptance of a foreigner into the most central family of Israel, although it caused friction. Ebed-Melech: The Ethiopian eunuch Ebed-Melech's compassionate and courageous act of rescuing the prophet Jeremiah from the dungeon (Jeremiah 38) highlights a profound example of righteousness and humanity found in a Gentile, contrasting sharply with the faithless Israelite leaders of the time. The Ethiopian Eunuch (Acts 8): This is the most crucial example. As a high-ranking official returning from worshipping in Jerusalem, he was already a sincere seeker of truth. His immediate acceptance and baptism after Philip explained the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the Kingdom of God (starting from Isaiah 53) marks the first recorded conversion of a Gentile in the Book of Acts. This event perfectly fulfills the Old Testament prophecies, proving that the Gospel message is for everyone—not just the Jews—and demonstrating the importance of belief and baptism for salvation. In summary, Ethiopia in the Bible serves as a powerful symbol of Gentile inclusion and shows that true faith and obedience to God's Word are what truly matter, irrespective of nationality or social status, all leading to the coming Kingdom on Earth.

Exhortation By Brother Dan

In this chapter, Peter defines true Christian liberty not as political freedom or social independence, but as a spiritual state. We are called out of the darkness of sin and ignorance into the "marvellous light" (v. 9) of the Truth. This is our first freedom: liberation from the bondage of sin. This liberty, however, comes with profound responsibility. Peter commands believers to live "As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God" (v. 16). This means our freedom in Christ is never an excuse for rebellion or lawlessness. In fact, Peter instructs us to "Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake" (v. 13), whether it be kings or governors. We are "strangers and pilgrims" (v. 11); our true citizenship is in the future Kingdom of God. Therefore, our liberty is internal. It is the freedom from fleshly lusts (v. 11) and the freedom to serve God, all while living honorably and peacefully within the non-believing world (v. 12) as we await Christ's return.

1 Peter Chapter 2 is a powerful chapter outlining the identity and conduct of a true believer. It emphasizes that believers are "living stones" being built into a "spiritual house"—the ecclesia (church)—with Jesus Christ as the "chief cornerstone." This spiritual temple, made of people, is the one God now dwells in, not a physical building. Flowing from this, all believers are described as a "royal priesthood." This is a key concept, meaning that every believer (male and female) has direct access to God through Christ, their High Priest. They don't need a special clergy class to mediate for them. Their role is to offer up "spiritual sacrifices," which are their lives of praise, good works, and obedience. The chapter then defines the believer's relationship to the world. They are "sojourners and exiles," essentially foreigners and pilgrims passing through this life. Their true citizenship is in the coming Kingdom of God. This "foreigner" status dictates their practical conduct: Submission to Government: Believers are commanded to submit to all human laws and authorities (verses 13-17) "for the Lord's sake." This is understood as a command to be model, law-abiding citizens, but to abstain from participating in politics, voting, or the military, as their allegiance is to Christ's future kingdom, not the kingdoms of this world. Following Christ's Example: The chapter concludes by holding up Christ as the ultimate example, especially in suffering. He suffered unjustly without sinning or retaliating. This is the pattern for believers. When they face unjust treatment for their faith or for doing good, they are to endure it patiently, entrusting their cause to God, just as Jesus did.

The chapter focuses on the glorious inheritance awaiting the faithful, which should serve as motivation for present conduct, especially while facing trials.
Salutation and Election (v. 1-2): Peter addresses the believers ("elect exiles" or pilgrims) scattered across Asia Minor, emphasizing they are chosen according to God the Father's foreknowledge (a choice based on God's prior knowledge of their faithfulness) and through the sanctification of the Spirit, leading to obedience and cleansing by the blood of Christ. This sets them apart as God's separated people.
The Living Hope and Inheritance (v. 3-9): The central theme is the "living hope" believers are born into through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. This hope is tied to a guaranteed, incorruptible, and reserved inheritance on the Earth when Christ returns to establish the Kingdom of God. The present trials and sufferings are viewed as necessary tests to prove the genuineness of their faith, resulting in praise, glory, and honour at Christ's revelation (his Second Coming).
Prophetic Foretelling and Gospel Preaching (v. 10-12): Peter notes that the prophets of old (like Daniel and Isaiah) diligently searched and spoke of the grace and salvation that would come through Christ—both his sufferings and the glories to follow (the establishment of the Kingdom). This message is now fully preached through the Gospel.
Call to Holy Conduct (v. 13-25): Because of this certain future hope, the believers are strongly exhorted to:
Be holy in all their conduct, just as God is holy.
Not conform to the lusts of their former ignorant life.
Be sober and set their hope completely on the grace to be brought at the revelation of Jesus Christ (his return).
Realise they were redeemed not by corruptible things like silver or gold, but by the precious blood of Christ—the foreordained Lamb.
Love one another fervently with a pure heart, having been born again through the living and enduring Word of God (the Gospel message).
In essence, 1 Peter 1 provides a powerful incentive—the certainty of the coming Kingdom and an immortal life—for believers to live a disciplined, Christ-like, and holy life now, enduring present difficulties with joyful hope.
